The National Weather Service is trying to get on my nerves. And it's working. Why they don't they just say, "We dunno, good luck!"?

Bold mine:
Tonight: Widespread haze before 11pm. Widespread smoke, mainly after 11pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 61. Northeast wind 6 to 11 mph.

Thanks ferri. Her birthday is Saturday, she'll be 94. I'm going to take hubby and kids in Friday to give her flowers and visit all at once, because my aunt (her daughter) is coming up from the island, and she & mom (in law) and the rest will be in on Saturday. Don't want to wear her out.

Daughter made it to college and back, but I haven't heard how it went because she went in to work before I came home. She's supposed to be dropping hours and has troubles saying "no" when she is needed. I don't want her to burn herself out, though.

Son gleefully told me he was balancing on a 2x4, 2 stories above the ground while installing fascia on a house where the roof isn't on yet. When I started breathing again he told me he was wearing a safety harness. Brat.

One of my sons got his hand caught in machinery at work today. Not too serious but he will be off for a few days.
My Wife asked me if I knew what her favorite flower was?

I am SO glad it wasn't too serious! You hear about people losing limbs in machines . . . I hope he's limited to bruising.

He had some tissue damage and he mentioned bone damage but I'm not sure what he meant by that.
2 fingers were caught but the rest of the hand is OK.

Bsuds, that's terrible to hear. Hope he recovers soon. Key may be not to do too much in the next week. That's hard for people though.

It is one of those things where you are all probably thinking what *could* have happened.....I'm glad that he is ok and it wasn't worse than it is.

If I end up weighing 300 pounds by the first of the year it's not my fault. I got some of the Tootsie Roll hot cocoa today. I love Tootsie Rolls. :swear:

I also have Jr. Mint cocoa. I'm trying that tomorrow. I hope it's horrible, but I bet it's not. [icon_lol2.gif]

I got my left, middle finger caught in a big, sliding, barn door years ago. It was broken and required medical attention. I wasn't able to drive for 6 weeks after.

It’s been 5 months today since my injury and I’ve been chillin ever since. I’m getting antsy to go back to work. Normally I’d be behind the wheel of a plow truck clearing the city streets. But I guess I will just sit here on my couch, drink my coffee as I watch the snow fall.

Merry Christmas Castanutters!
