Sure, there are all kinds of parents who abuse their children in all kinds of ways. Using religion to do it doesn't make it any righter, though.

Speak for yourself; I don't train my kids that way. As for kids learning everything from adults, it's simply not true. Many scientific studies have shown that kids at the very earliest stages of life are selfish and learn on their own how to lie and cheat.

You are trying to tell us that you never disciplined your children for "bad" behaviour or rewarded them for "good" behaviour. Maybe you didn't hit your kids but you did use some form of discipline to get them to stop lying and cheating. Children are born wild and we "teach" them what is acceptable behaviour in a "civilized" society. The methodology is irrelevant, it is still a system of reward and punishment, a form of domestication.
