Unfortunately for you Kibbs, if your kids do grow up wanting a to hang weights to get it back, you'll only have yourself to blame.

Religious influences are no longer an acceptable excuse. It's a drag that you gave in to such pressures and an even bigger drag that it lead to mutilation of your unsuspecting, trusting and innocent children...or shall I refer to them as defenseless infants without a voice?

By your standards a guy that slices his penis full length isn't mutilating himself if HE thinks that's how his Johnson was supposed to look.
If he never used it for orgasm or insertion, then his slicing hasn't altered its function either.

Gimme a freakin' break.

There are arguments for and against, but in the end it is still FACT that circumcision IS genital mutilation.
You can support it all you like, but it doesn't change the facts.

Exactly, mutilation is an OPINION not a FACT, re-read the definition that you yourself posted.

Perfection or imperfection are opinions. Since mutilation is a change from perfection, mutilation is an opinion.

They may even make such a choice over deeply engrained sexual deviance. For whatever reason you are bound to find those who DO in FACT choose genital mutilation.

I have a hard time believing that a FEW would choose to go through genital mutilation.

In an effort to bring back on topic, we should just accept that god has a purpose for genetal mutilation. Even if a man with a saw comes for the tip of you're ick we shouldn't ask why. :200:

Second to your back-to-topic thought. I think the attempt to divine God's purpose in negative situations is kind of a red herring. It assumes that there is deliberate purpose in everything that happens which is back to the God-is-the-man-with-the-plan school of thought. I just can't get on board with that. The way things go is up to us. Short of natural events like earthquakes and asteroids they way things are are a product of human hand. We can't blame God for crime or slavery or poverty or war, we really do have to accept responsibility for that ourselves.

We create ourselves. We are our own gods. After studying religion and spirituality for many years, I came to realize we are spiritual beings. We are pure energy manifesting in flesh. We don't need outside gods, we are it. As the Hopi say, "We are the ones we have been waiting for."
Trying to get spiritual nourishment from a two thousand year old book is like trying to suck milk from the breast of a woman who has been dead that long.

Yes and I think after many infected wieners and no penilcilin for centuries the voice of god told us to circumcise .Now that we figured out that keeping it clean and good hygiene and some anti -biotic makes it not such moral imperative ,I think god is saying "see if you can keep your kids wiener clean and teach him to do the same"If its gonna be a huge big deal to your whole faith system (god forbid)It is a small sacrifice Any deliberate alteration to the body without purpose including vanity(tats n boobs) is bodily mutilation .I'm gonna get a tattoo just as soon as I need one. What are they for again?
Peace be with you.

I read a book years ago (Jesus Chronicals??) that looked into the life of Jesus and more importantly his youth. They believe he lived somewhere in Egypt with a clan that practiced transcendental meditation using sensory deprevation in caves to acheive oneness with the universe, as they new it at the time.

When it came time for him to fulfill his role as the messiah he no longer accepted the current doctrine and preached we are all devine, all sons of god. Which at the time was blasphemy, and we know the rest. It's quite possible Jesus felt the way you do but his message was perversed to benefit the rulers at the time.

As it still is today, not only rulers but anyone with a personal agenda to promote. Some will even harp endlessly on the thought that it is "God's wish" that we circumcise out young males, even though such imagined divine instruction comes from a very human book penned by human hand.
