Jesus would have had very interesting DNA on his paternal side.

According to the bible Mary was "betrothed" (like being engaged) to Joseph when she got pregnant...it was scandalous as it suggested Mary had had premarital sex. Joseph wanted to kick her to the curb but but an angel appeared to him telling him to marry her.

If nobody knew about God yet, why would Joseph listen to an angel???

They knew about God then. According to the old testament (before jesus' birth) it was believed that the Jews were God's chosen people. Joseph and Mary were both Jewish. As for Jesus having children, I don't think there is nothing to suggest that in the books of the new testament.

Don't they have some sort of rag Jesus was carried in? Should be able to pick up some DNA there.

Even if it wasn't debunked, DNA breaks down over time.
