In ancient times "the gods" used to do things and make themselves known. Our current god (assuming he's not on strike with the bctf) is very lazy in what he does. I think he died many years ago and we are running on auto pilot.

I am also on board with Cliffy in that I feel Heaven is a place on Earth. We aspire for Heaven for it leads to a better future for ourselves and our loved ones. When we do wrong, when we become selfish, or when we are ignorant then we bring on suffering to ourselves. It's not just about being happy, but doing the right thing at the right time. But of course the feeling of happiness is usually a good guide to follow, as when we don't help people in need or wrong someone we feel guilt.
