Given that dinosaurs are still with us but in the form of birds the title of this thread is pretty accurate. Religion will never go away, it will simply evolve to meet the spiritual needs in a changing environment.
Remember: Humans are 99% chimp.

You seem to be confusing people being in favor of or supporting Islam as a religion, and people supporting the right for Muslims to live without being judged as terrorists due to their religion.
Big difference there.

No, not really. No one is against that. There is a problem in which the regressive left gets really upset when people criticize Islam. Even many atheists are pointing out this unholy alliance, including the likes of Richard Dawkins... but I digress.
Perhaps Dodo bird would have been a better metaphor than the dinosaurs?

American politics truly have absolutely nothing to do with the 'leftists' on these forums...and I really haven't seen anyone around here siding with any of the radical Islam groups.
So, yes, you are digressing.

Dawkins isn't American. Neither are Pat Condell and Douglas Murrary. The Rotherham rape gangs were in the UK, not the USA.
The UK suffers from the same sort of unholy alliance found in the USA as well. The book was written by someone who used to be on the left. Just like politics, religion ebbs and flows. What's popular today might not be tomorrow, but it's impossible to predict. The only ones that go extinct are the ones that are persecuted into extinction. Yazidis are the latest one that could go that way. You might be happy about that, but they are being replaced by another religion.
