Teia Tephi died in 534 BC and was buried in a special subterranean tomb constructed beneath the Mound of The Hostages, along with the "Ark of the Covenant" and David's Harp.

Arthur James Balfour, who was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from July 1902 to December 1905.

When Balfour was Prime minister of England, he was asked in the House of Commons to grant permission for search to be made for the “Ark” in the Hill of Tara, in which, tradition said, it was concealed.

For some reason not given, this request was refused.

The Prime Minister said…The time had not yet arrived"

In "Tara The Guidebook," a richly-illustrated publication by the Discovery Program, there is a story that of the British archaeologists excavating for the Ark of the Covenant between the years 1899 and 1902.

They developed their theories from a study of ancient texts, the Bible, early Irish mythology and literature, concluding that the Ark was buried at Tara in the grave of Tea Tephi.

They wanted to present the Ark to Queen Victoria as they believed that Tea Tephi was the ancestor of the English Kings and Queens.

Victoria was interested in Tara herself.
