I'm far from wealthy - you don't have to be rich to own common sense.

I think Lake Country took it upon themselves several years ago to remove all.
Typical, the City always likes to put it to someone else. Remove it and put costs on the taxes of the owner. That will speed it up.

The Lake Country situation was limited to properties where they do not meet the foreshore. So, essentially, non-lakeshore properties. For example, the main focus was in OK Centre, along the public stretch where many upland owners put in docks over the years.

just take a hammer and a pair of side cutters on your next stroll along the beach, if you come to an illegal barrier, just snip or pry a hole in it, go thru and just keep on truckin'.

I'm sure you'll confirm which properties are legally permitted to have the structures and those that aren't before performing your vandalism vigilante restoration. Not cool.

That would be a good template for the rest off the lakefront properties.

A 50-100 foot easement sounds about right...

I agree but, for now, make sure you record your adventure lest you run into a nest of rich (H)A-holes...

It would be interesting to see these entitled ones reveal themselves publicly...

Very debatable as to just who is actually acting "entitled".

Majority of them are unoccupied, and that would constitute assault and and not destruction of private property as it isnt on private land.
Everyone wants to *bleep* and whine, as usual, but not actually do anything........................

Yea, because respecting others and their property is so lame.

Those who are building blockades into the lake aren't respecting the property of the general population. We all are entitled to that beach access and their fences and walls should be taken down!

Just because it is on the foreshore does not mean it isn't private property. Perhaps check out what is approved prior to your destruction. It could get expensive for you.
Approved docks are private property, yet they are on public property. Non conforming structures that were approved in the past could exist and be within the scope of your destructive tendencies.
But, go ahead......it could be interesting. less so for you.

And, just out of curiousity, you feel it is ok to damage someone else's property just because they are not there to witness it? :135:
