Just wondering what has happened to the sign. It's gone.

im sure mayor mc cheese and council are getting a new one built for way more than it is worth.it will probably look even crappier than the old one

Its going to have some words added underneath. "sorry about the daily gridlock but hey it gives you time to browse the nice pretty adverts on the billboards"

Maybe the new sign will say welcome to West Kelowna home of the boil water advisory.

Was in the media recently, they fell apart and needed to be replaced.
Signs need replacing every eight years or so don't they?

Maybe it was the same guy who spray painted all the West Kelowna mileage signs black from Vernon to West Kelowna. That guy must be really angry and bored to put that much effort in. And probably crazy:)

Should never have been allowed to use "Kelowna" in their name. Its far to ugly to use our town name. When I go to Westbank I come home and shower the stink off.

Changing the name back to West Bank....
I still use West Bank on mailed correspondence and the envelopes arrive just fine.

Close to 50% of us didn’t want to use the Kelonwa name. Especially now that Kelowna is the OD capital. I still proudly use the Westbank name as that is the neighbourhood I live in.

Your opinion is just that. I love my community.

The peeps running the res should be more contientious citizens and find a better way to make money than polluting our community with their billboards.
It's cheesy and ugly.
And imo it lessens their status in the community.
If whitey can't do it theres no reason why they should be allowed. Maybe it's a racist issue.
