Roadblock on Yates Road at the Verve

Postby mrcycle » May 16th, 2012, 11:49 pm

Did anyone see or go through the road block at the Verve tonight. It was awesome. I asked one of the police officers why they chose this spot and they said they were tired of all the drug dealers and impaired drivers coming in and out of that place. As someone who lives in the building all i can say is THANK YOU!!!!! The amount of Kelowna D Bags in those buildings is ridiculous. I hope they do this every night.

An acquaintance of mine was once randomly sucker punched by a juice monkey and I tracked down the person driving from the bar to their home. Ended up at the Verve...

I live at the damn Verve and I'm so sick of morons and douchebags in the building. I call Mario's Towing whenever I see a car parked in the "No Parking" areas and at night when idiots make noise by idling their cars and blaring the music at 1 AM, I've been known to throw stuff out my window and make a few dents in the car. Great when they have no idea where the projectile came from. Some of us are educated people with legit jobs, unlike the majority of Verve residents.

So you are educated with a legit job unlike the majority according to you yet you throw stuff out of your window to make dents in peoples cars and think its cool no one knows it was you.
Are you sure you are the educated one?

I know someone who lives there and i have never heard anything like these complaints. Yes its mainly young people and they like to party some times.
Parking is certainly a major issue with these buildings i'll give you that.

We lived in verve 1 for two years with no real issues other than not having much privacy facing verve 2 and the fact that the dog pen that was provided for people to use for the dogs was constantly full of dog crap that owners would never pick up...could never understand it when bags were always provided along with a garbage pail...Just some rude people with no respect for others! Then we moved to verve 6 for another 2 year lease and after the owners above moved out and rented the suite the nightmare began with non stop partying and noise for months until they were fined and evicted and new tenants moved in only to be worse than the first, my god we couldn't wait to get out of that place and counted the months until our lease was up....A beautiful building but alot of people with NO respect for others that would party all night every single night! My suggestion to anyone considering moving to the verve...DON'T!!! this is just based on my opinion so sorry if it offends anyone living there with no issues...(which I would find really hard to believe)... OUR experience there was a nightmare....The best thing we ever did was move....ahhhhh the best thing ever...If I even bring up the 'verve' to my hubby he cringes to the thought of that whole complex...He would always get embarrassed to say he lived there....There needs to be some serious changes done to that place because it's a shame to be getting such a bad name...

Don't forget about the speedway that is also known as the entrance to the Verve, and the idiots that like to blare their music as they come flying in at all hours, I also think that half the vehicles there have had their mufflers removed :ohmygod:
Best thing I ever did was move far away from that cesspool.

The Verve is home to dozens and dozens of drug dealers....and i can say for a fact that police will be doing LOTS of checks like the roadblock they did last night targetting the partiers driving home drunk and the fine individuals who have no actual job but are somehow able to drive escalades and mercedes and pay for everything in cash......I know that officers are as tired as proper tenants when it comes to party calls, impaired driving and drugs.
