Don't we make all kinds of assumptions about homeless people? It would be good to know their stories.

Or someone that put poison in the sandwich.
Just like they say about halloween...dont eat baked goods or candied apples or anything home made.
Now instead of a sandwhich give him a GC from timmies or Mcdonalds or something....
**Disclaimer: The above statement is in my OPINION only.

Oh thats just nonsense, if your really hungry you will eat that sammi so fast one would not even taste it. Then seeing this you may actaully get some more food from the person. If I am hungry I don't care where it came from or who gives it to me its gone instantly with many thanks. You can always tell the liars from the honest by how fast they eat and how greatful they are when they have that food. These are real facts that cannot be faked. Starvation is not a con act it is a reaction to lack of food and easy to spot.

And then he'll stand outside Timmies or McDonalds and will sell the GC to someone for a couple bucks, which he'll spend on drugs/booze.
They do it all the time already at places like Home Depot and Walmart. They go inside, take something off the shelf and "return it." No receipt, means they get a gift card. Then they go stand outside and sell it for cash.

You're right, in terms of starvation.
But really, I don't think any of the homeless in Kelowna are starving to that point. They are provided with three meals a day from the various shelters, so they could actually end up eating better than some working folk.
Although he had infinite patience, he was annoyed,

Also those giving a snadwich dont usually go home and make it, it is store bought like from a Timmies, Safeway what ever place these people are bumming at so ya a bum would not refuse it unless its Not food that they want. How bout we donate a hair cut, and tatoo removal, a pair of work boots? How bout we just tell em about the sign we just saw at Timmies or McDs looking for workers. Really, anyone can work there.

Probably not a lot of people on disability? Some people can't work maybe that is why some are out there looking for money? Meh, either way, did you donate yet? I would be interested in how that tattoo removal donation works out :dyinglaughing:

Take a look at most of them, they are as able and as you and me. They sure can see you coming tho. Look at all the great BS stories they fool You with. My car broke down,,, you buy that one? Need bus fair,,, you buy that too? If drugs is disabling them then why should I support that and give money to them? I already donate to the very systems they can get help from. No drugs, clean head ready to become a productive mind, working person.
Me donate for tatoo removal? If they are such a mess with tats and piercings that they scare all of those who could hire them then its thier problem,,, not mine. I choose to make sure I was presentable so I could always get work, dredlocks are just not a really nice hair style when showing up to apply for jobs.
Most of these people are a mess, they want money from me then can come mow my lawn like I did for many when times were tough in between jobs.

What and "Work" for a living! OMG, why would the want to do that when they can get so many stupid people to give them money! As long as the gullible are around, there will be panhandlers/beggars.
I just tell them I don't carry any cash.
