That is exactly correct, not very accurate reporting by Castanet!
We operate the bike rental location at the Grand and have been for over 15 years, also a few years back Monashee was also renting bikes out next to the sports card collectables place on Cawston. Sports Rent, now renamed Custom Ski has been renting bikes for years out of there mission location, but that is not considered downtown.
Hopefully Fresh Air does alright in that location, it would be hard to survive on just bicycle rentals, it would be a good location to have skate rentals in the winter for the Stuart park rink as well possible, but again that would not be very profitable once you factor in insurance and employees wages.
