Sidewalks aren't wide enough to accommodate the people using them today.
Truths can be backed up by facts - do you have any?

What do you mean "how so?" Take a look at the sidewalks in 1920's to what has been built now - big difference - and huge difference in population from then to today.

If a ten foot wide sidewalk isn't wide enough for people to pass one another single file in an orderly fashion, there's something seriously wrong with society of the now a day. Well then again ...

I suppose that's what you don't realize - pedestrian friendly isn't about being single file.

Rude? To let couples wander down the sidewalk together and make the area more pedestrian friendly? The point behind the wider sidewalks.

You are not making sense at all. I suggest reading up on the revitalization plans for the area.

Maybe I just like the old downtown, I think it's got some character and would like it to remain somewhat like it is.Fancy wrote:You are not making sense at all. I suggest reading up on the revitalization plans for the area.

Actually phasy is making uneducated and uniformed troll posts on several threads right now.
Reading the threads and making educated and informed posts has been suggested but clearly trolling is more fun for him/her

I'm gathering that - referring to 1920's and people walking single file etc. and not understanding the concept behind the development.

Stick to the topic then. Downtown is becoming pedestrian friendly. If you don't agree with it did you voice your disapproval at the appropriate venue?
