Obviously MAPearce and kibbs have been rejected by the SPCA as an adopter.
I really cannot imagine what other reason would cause so much anger/resentment.

This is from the SPCA website and in there it says "We also try to place animals in
permanent homes so they don't end up back in our shelters".

They are there for the protection and care of the animals and to try
to find the best home for the animals. They are not there for you.

Just as they were there for the dog that the elderlly couple brought in.

SPCA stands for "society for the prevention of cruelty of animals"
That is what they exist for.
The Humane Society also exists for the animals. For the humane
treatment of the animals and they will also check people out
before they adopt to people.
I don't understand why people have such an issue with this.

What part of affording a pet can you afford?
Just its food? What if it got sick or injured, could you afford that?
I'm talking alot of money for vet care. Been there many times.
What SPCA high standards are you referring to?
I don't believe that dogs are being euthanized in Kelowna, cats are a different story.
Way to many cats as people are not fixing them and way to few good homes for them.
Or people adopt them when they are kittens and then at the first sign of illness
or behavioral problems the cat is brought back to the SPCA or worse.
I think it is a very good thing that they are trying to find a secure lifetime
home for the animal rather than catering to what a person wants.
Have you ever thought about volunteering?

Only some are negative and they are the ones who have most likely been
turned down as an adopter. This is apparent by their comments.
I'm thankful the SPCA exists.
A while back the SPCA rescued a puppy who I had reported as being neglected.
Because of them that puppy had a better chance for a good life than it would have.
