Our climate is not similar to that of California by any means. The only similarity is that we have a 6 week period in the summer of 30 degree weather. The rest of the year is quite different, including sub zero weather with snow cover for a good part of the winter especially in the northern part of the valley, and meters of snow in the highlands for half the year.

just stop handing out building permits, that would freeze water consumption,and then u wont need a new billion dollar bridge either.
