Great article about these majestic creatures, and how to peacefully co-exist

Mama and babies are gone! I went onto youtube and found out that cougars and raccoons don't get along lol. I copied cougar sounds on my phone and walked through the house playing it. Had the best sleep ever last night, she must have moved them while I was at work. Checked the attic this morning, no raccoons. So anyone who has problems just do that and it is more humane then trapping them. Thanks!

Now make sure you fix the entrance they were using.

Wonderful news - glad the little critters left on their own.

Had a similar problem with a crawlspace a few years back.

What I did was duct tape a length of flexible ducting to the exhaust of my truck and insert the other end into the crawlspace and start the truck.

Within 5 minutes they were literally hightailing out the only escape route left to them where my dog tore into them.

They were too groggy to fight back and DID NOT come back after that.

They leave an amazingly voluminous amount of excrement if left unchecked...

1. Catch one raccoon, crucify it on a cross, and post a sign saying "I will kill one raccoon every day until you move".
2. Watch them move promptly.
3. Expect to be arrested and prosecuted for the crimes against raccoonity (is this a word? You know, like humanity, but for raccoons).
Sarcasm is like a good game of chess. Most people don't know how to play chess.

Thank you everyone for your input. I have 3 air vents in my attic and suspect she got in there. I have a friend coming over tomorrow to fix it for me, as I did not have time prior to going to work. I am sure she will not return as I did read that they have two dens, just in case they need a back up. I am glad it worked as I feel even though she is "just" a raccoon she still deserves not to be harmed.
