I snagged it off twitter today. I think it's from Ontario though. Similar laws but possibly not exactly the same? Looks ok to me tho.
OK I went to check. The Globe and Mail tweeted it. Here's a link to their article.

IC, I think China has the same laws as Ontario which have zero relevance to British Columbia.
Sadly, the Provinces of CANADA did attempt to make a Canadian Highway Traffic Act, although due to those in high places, they couldn't agree to agree. If you have time on your hands, look at other Provincial Act, BC is not written very well.

Another one hit today just after 5:40 or so on Dilworth at one of the mall entrances.

To kgcayenne ...
What do you think of the bicycle lane markings at Springfield and Gordon as compared to Springfield and Ethel as compared to those intersections with just a bike lane and vehicle lanes?

Re: Cyclist hit
The markings don't mean a damn thing to the motorists; that is why they installed those posts. I still, however see cyclists have to react lightning quick when a car cuts them off turning right across them (most of the time the signal doesn't happen until far too late... IF EVEN AT ALL.
The Springfield at Ethel intersection is most problematic because of how many daft people don't realize the right hand lane terminates in a right only onto Ethel. They veer left into the straight through lane without warning and a cyclist wouldn't stand a chance. Alternately, they veer left while IN the intersection or immediately after to avoid hitting the parked cars that snuck up on them.
Pavement markings mean very little to stupid people.

^^ Like I said - it's not a marking or lane problem - it's a people problem ;)

Re: Cyclist hit
So I guess that, after 11 pages, we are back at the original conclusion that vehicle drivers and cyclists who do not know the law or choose not to obey the law are a danger on the roadway.
That is depressing.
