Tobogganing Hill in Kelowna

Post by Ccrider »

We have company with little kids coming for Christmas, and would like to take them tobogganing; if we have snow. Does anyone know of a nice toboggan hill in the area?

Not in Kelowna, but on the Westside, Hudson Road Elementary School has some good hills for tobogganing.

We used to head out to gallaghers canyon. I recall having to hop a fence but there was a fantastic sledding hill. Also the Kelowna golf and country club used to have sledders in there all the time but I don't know if they frown on that now.

Black Mountain School. Or if you're up for a drive, go tubing at Big white

I used to take my kids to the Kelowna Golf and Country Club - I drive by there every day now on my way to work and I never see anyone sledding anymore so I suspect you're right in that they frown on it now.

If you're willing to do a bit of hiking, the Crawford trail network accessed via the end of Stewart Road East has lots of places to toboggan! We went up there today and while hiking up I was thinking to myself, "Man, I wish I still had my GT snow racer!" :)

Really? The Jackpine turnoff? Hopefully the snow covers all the trash.
