Re: Dead chickens, good news??
Yeah I found the ellipsis to be kind of unprofessional.
It kind of gives a smirky undertone to the article, clearly someone cared enough for their pet chicken they felt the need to give it a space heater - No need to rub it in like it was some sort of ironic joke.
Maybe that example is a little extreme, but hey, a pet is a pet.
The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical space heater used to heat the shed for the chicken..

I can understand the owner's concern for the chicken, but a space heater.... oh my! And chickens can stand a heck of a lot of cold weather so long as they are fed well and kept in a dry environment.

Re: Dead chickens, good news??
This seems like a lot of unnecessary whining to me. First off, I'm sure people who live in the neighborhood were wondering what the heck was going on, so a story about it is helpful. Second, if someone lost a pet and that wasn't mentioned, then there would be complaints about how heartless the reporter was. Third, the cause of the fire was due to the heat source for the pet. This all makes sense, so what's the problem here?
