...that has merit unless you read this first...

Because there are so damn many of them!

A friend once said " don't ever make the mistake of thinking that the person standing in front of you is as intelligent as you because the odds are, they are not".

I think he may have been referring to me now that I see it in print.

And...........................................It's outa here!!!

Love it! That little bit of sleuthing will likely get some "OMG" reaction.

I wonder now whom is it that considers your child gifted? Is this a non partial "unbiased" opinion or is it yours?

if it is yours because he can clap and smile at the same time, maybe get a second opinion. we all think our kids are brilliant but in truth, very few are.

This is too much fun but you started it. Don't give up though. Fire back. It's what we do here.

As weird as it sounds, grandmothers have been known to start producing milk when and where needed even though they may not have had babies for 30 years.

...next time I see my mom - I'm going to give her the what-for, as I was clearly bottle fed from the get-go...

If looking at breasts brought abut an increase in intelligence, most men would be raving geniuses.

Why not just start a Breasts and the shaky IQ joke thread in Laugh In and leave this one for serious discussion? It doesn't take too long before all the wits of the board have posted their best breast joke, so the thread in Laugh in should enjoy a good run, and this one won't become hopelessly derailed.

My kids weren't breast fed and are doing just fine . One likes shiny things and the other likes to colour . Women want to start drinking right after and put kids on formula at one month .

Actually "women" don't all want to do that.

btw, that's a pretty sexist remark that paints us all as drunken floozies looking to drown the sorrow of being married to horrible men.... which is also a sexist remark.

Just sayin'.

Ditto, although a lot of the stupidity I see in town has an Alberta license plate attached to it.

When it comes to actual intelligence, rather than the ability to be successful, I do not think that Kelowna has more or less than its share of intelligence. Lots of people of average intelligence getting by one day at a time in a sometimes confusing world.

When you look at what mankind has done throughout all of history and is doing or not doing throughout the world today it does not warrant putting up a sign saying "CAUTION GENIUSES AT WORK".
