Newcome Back In Court
The saga of this prominent criminal continues, with this most recent conviction for assault and breach of conditions. The breach related to conditions imposed as a part of his sentence for a multitude of stolen property offences connected to a chop shop he was running. Most thought the 18 months conditional sentence [no jail time] this guy got for 19 counts of possession and selling of stolen property was lenient and a joke and there was considerable criticism of the court for it's soft sentencing. Now the guy gets a further period of "probation" of 2 years for the domestic assault and the breach. No wonder citizens are *bleep* with our courts. Disgustingly inappropriate given the circumstances.

It's possible to do all the right things and still get a bad result.

Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

...with sentences like that, you have to wonder what someone's got to do to face actual punishment...what a joke...

Has anyone ever stopped to think, perhaps he got off with so little time/punishment, that he probably gave up information about his links in the gang world....One has to wonder. Clearly the sentences don't fit, and its easy to point and say the courts screwed up, but c'mon...........

Something is out of whack here.. that is for sure.. particularly in respect to the sentence handed down for the 19 original charges, that involved many 10s of thousands of dollars in stolen property. We sure know that it is not an infrequent incident where these criminals roll over and rat out others; but, in the absence of any real information to substantiate such an accusation, I would be hesitant to accuse. The people he was alleged to have been involved with have a rather nasty reputation when it comes to this sort of behavior.

Your hesitant to attack someone who's been found guilty of being a terrible influence in our community and who's just breached his parole conditions, yet you have no problem discussing the court system, which is unable to respond. Without presenting any specific information in regards to the case, you've just passed an unsubstantiated opinion; you might be wise to take your own medicine before doling it out others in regards to what they care to opine about. As to the nasty fellows he's involved with, I'm sure they've formed opinions in regards to the matter. He choose to head down that road along time ago, his choice.
