Okanagan heat and population/energy-use trends
.
.
Is there a correlation between global population growth (now exceeding 7-billion), global energy use, and forest fires/glaciers melting, as we now see them occurring?
Just wondering...here are some graphs, showing population growth and energy consumption, and more. There are likely other factors influencing global warming, such as the sun's solar flares, but we humans sure burn a lot of fuels that give off lots of cumulative heat.
Maybe we can expect more heat production, as population increases. The Okanagan is heat sensitive, as it's already at the higher end of the heat scale for this type of environment.

Temperature and CO2 trends are increasing. This has apparently happened previously in the past 300,000 years of carbon dating, but past causes may have been more to do with solar activity, volcanic activity, and unabated massive historic forest fires.

not exactly central Okanagan related

Do you think there is any corelation between climate change and the many recent-history forest fires in the Okanagan?
