I left my car outside for 20 minutes and it was totally covered in snow in Glenmore.

There was freezing rain earlier south of the border. Now it's just sitting there looking cloudy. :/

It's a bright and sunny afternoon here. I even shoveled my driveway while wearing my slippers. All is well and good here, once again. What's tomorrow going to bring us?

Boy! Just when we think we got it bad here.......
They sure are having a really bad cold spell down South. It's killed 15 people already.

Most of the deaths were in traffic accidents, but others died quietly, after authorities said they likely succumbed to exposure to temperatures as low as -12 C.

In Atlanta, temperatures remained below freezing until midday. Metro Atlanta's commuter rail system was operating on a limited schedule as the city continued to recover from 2.5 cm of snow and ice.

State troopers responded to more than 2,300 crashes, while local police reported hundreds more

The snow stopped by early morning after the storm blew off shore, but North Carolina officials urged drivers to stay home while crews took their first crack at roads coated just hours earlier by the storm. Other parts of the South continued to struggle, including Louisiana, where interstate highways remained closed.

The snow is melting so fast that there is a creek running down the street, deep enough to wash away a small child or pet.

My mom just called. She has 50cm of new snow today, and it's still coming down. In her 50 years of living in the Cariboo she has only ever seen a snow event that big once before... November 1990.
