Worked upper level in Peachland yesterday and it was ice raining most of the afternoon, just wasn't heavy amounts and roads remained fairly decent.

Has anyone ever heard of the term "fluvage"? I seem to recall it being used for weather but can't find a definition anywhere. All I could find was a blog comment about Mike Roberts using it, and the OP thinking he had made it up.

I miss him. The weather report just hasn't been the same since he retired.

It just seemed to me he was more connected to the community, what with his Good News Bears thing and such. That fell by the wayside too when he left.

The Vernon weather station is crap. Clearly the heater in the rain gauge is broken because it showed 0 precipitation from before Christmas until it warmed above freezing a couple days ago. Now it's all melting, and it shows 23mm just yesterday!

Also, the ONLY place in the BC interior that had a green Christmas this year was Atlin -- the most northern community in BC with a weather station.
