Leavenworth, Brewster, Omak, Springdale, Deer Park, and Sandpoint
will make this a difficult forecast. Precipitation in these
communities may periodically be a mix of rain and snow limiting
lowland accumulations. For the mountains, this storm will produce
a couple feet of accumulation tonight through Wednesday morning.

* WHEN...Snow will develop by mid to late evening and persist
through Tuesday morning. Precipitation may mix with or change
to rain Tuesday afternoon...especially below 2000 feet
elevation.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Slushy accumulations will have the
potential to create treacherous driving conditions. Elevation
will likely influence snow accumulations considerably.
Temperatures in the low to mid 30s may limit lowland
accumulations around Omak and Brewster.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered

Well...I think my thanks are in order for the last few pages of
some of the most comprehensive weather forecasts (right or wrong)
that anyone could want or need.

And......nothing happened here in Kelowna last night. The snow warning has ended and the warning is now only for the Coq.

Winter storm warning in effect for:
Central Okanagan - including Kelowna
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
A moist Pacific frontal system will bring heavy snow to the southwestern interior. The snow will intensify later this morning and will ease Wednesday morning.
General snowfall accumulation of 20 to 25 cm is expected in Merritt and Kelowna while locally near Westbank and Peachland, snowfall totals could reach 35 cm by Wednesday morning.

Up here in Rutland it is snowing very lightly - were it rain it would be misting - and the wind is blowing. Not very cold at all, if it warms at all it will all be slush.
I haven't failed until I quit.
