Special weather statement in effect for:

Central Okanagan - including Kelowna
North Okanagan - including Vernon
South Okanagan - including Penticton
Arctic air in place over the Interior will combine with moisture advancing from the Pacific to give steadier snow beginning this evening. Amounts will be from 2 to 4 cm. On Thursday a stronger impulse will result in more snow and amounts of 5 to 10 cm are forecast for much of the Similkameen, Okanagan, Arrow-Slocan and West Kootenay regions. More snow is likely for Friday.

Snowfall warning in effect for:

Central Okanagan - including Kelowna
North Okanagan - including Vernon
Snowfall, with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.

A strong and organized frontal system will be coming onshore overnight tonight bringing periods of light snow to the central and northern Okanagan regions as well as the Shuswap.

Light snow will begin before dawn, and will become heavy at times in the afternoon.

Total accumulations of 10 to 15 cm are expected by the time the precipitation eases off overnight Thursday.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
