In my fantasy, he took the kitten away in the end to make sure it didn't starve. And yes, I'm sure chicken and kitten reunited later, like when kitty is old enough to bat back.
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

The very last chicken from this group has passed away. They were great birds, and deserved better than being abandoned. I hope they found that here.
