Yep., an introduction to a can of "whoop-ass" would be a solid deterrent alright. Probably the naked dh who was riding around on his bike awhile back. Same intellect it would seem.

I'm just waiting for the police to start overreacting in the US and start shooting unarmed clowns for "standing there and being creepy".

Bunch of tough guys on this thread. Assaulting people with weapons for being dressed up like a clown.

Who's the real clown?

the dummy who dresses up like a clown, is the real clown here..

you don't think this might freak some people out ??? why would one want to do that ?? what would be their objective to do that ???

if one is doing this for attention, then don't be surprised if the "attention" you're receiving isn't nice..

Just going to point out that that would be battery and assault. Dressing up is not an invitation to be attacked. Doesn't matter whether you're dressed as a clown, wearing Jedi robes, a furry suit, or some sort of cosplay.

I am betting this whole "clown" thing is viral marketing for the new Stephen King IT movie coming out next year.
I'm not even supposed to be here. I'm just "Crewman Number Six." I'm expendable. I'm the guy in the episode who dies to prove how serious the situation is. I've gotta get outta here.

Pennywise is the only clown that has ever scared me, and the new one looks terrifying. It could very well be marketing, but it seems like this has been going on a long time.

People dress up like circus freaks all the time; this is just a bit more on-the-nose than massive ear gauges, excessive facial piercings, neck tattoos, etc... As far as "creepy" I guess it's a step up from a fedora and trench coat [icon_lol2.gif]

Topic...

With creepy clown sightings popping up all over North America in recent months, it appears someone in Kelowna wanted to join in on the trend.

Caroline Bilodeau was sitting on the porch of her trailer in Hiawatha RV Park on Lakeshore Drive in the Mission Thursday when she spotted a creepy clown in the driveway of the trailer across from her.

Several occupants in the trailer park have been recently evicted due to mould and water damage, and Bilodeau says the trailer across from her is one of the empty ones.

“It was like something out of a scary movie,” she said. “It was really unnerving just because of all the stories going around of them trying to hurt people.”

The culprit was dressed in all black and was wearing an eerie clown mask with curly red clown hair.

Bilodeau said the clown wasn't very active, but looked “kind of spaced out.”

“I got on the phone with my boyfriend right away, he didn't answer, but I think the clown saw me and got spooked because I was on the phone, and he just ran away into the bushes,” Bilodeau said.
