I went out to watch that massive Russian aircraft land, not going to go and watch this one.

Did this thing actually arrive? I cruised past the airport this afternoon, and didnt see it anywhere. I dont think it was in a hanger already, the ones I thought were big enough to house it looked full of other aircraft. I've never seen an SP in the flesh before.

Right, of course. I spent most of today thinking it was Friday. Duh.

That's funny, I was doing the same all day, too ... thought it was Friday ... maybe wishful thinking for the long weekend to get here?

That 747SP just flew over my place ... it didn't look as big as I thought it would in the air, and I could definitely tell it was shorter than a regular 747.

Its a stubby little thing. Wider than it is long. Still dwarfs everything else at the airport. Not bad for a private jet.

Some comparisons of the SP 100 200 and 300 models. The one that landed is indeed an SP.

Not hard to tell where this airplane originates with the symbol on that tail...probably some oil rich sheik.

but I still thought the Russian plane was bigger but they still say this is. From another news source they say this plane is the second biggest...
