Not just my opinion.....its the law. Having my vehicle rear ended by a driver on their phone last year has left me a little sensitive...I will admit.

There's already a thread for that. This is regarding the excitement on the bridge. I am glad I didn't get caught up in it.

I was rear ended by a gawker - could easily have happened here as drivers pass by this chaotic scene.

Looks like whatever it was started at least as far back as the junction of 97 and 97C. Global News posted a video of the suspect car ramming a police roadblock by the mill just west of Westbank.

^^^ Oh geez a roadblock lets just ram it, thats good idea. Hmm... I may have change my awarding of idoit of January to that driver, instead of truck owner who drove onto Swan Lake.

Yep

Thanks to all the RCMP members who put themselves on the line to stop this guy today. Well done!

My sources tell me that the two individuals in the car fled from the US after one of them shot his wife, they came up this way and the RCMP took over the pursuit. Apparently the driver of the semi truck pictured in one of the photos on C-Net heard about it on his CB radio and when he saw the car blocked them in on the bridge. That's what I heard anyway...

Note to criminals looking for a speedy getaway..
Heading straight into the most heavily congested bottleneck
of traffic around, probably not the best idea.
