He would have got called out the first time.

I'm just glad he only has a warning. Although, I truly don't understand why he even got that. Maybe it was some old Biddy, (like me-LOL) that complained, I don't know. As I said before, there are a lot more louder noises downtown, and around the whole area, than a Busker playing a guitar, even with an amp.
May we all be a blessing in the days ahead.

Businesses have complained if it interferes with their patrons.

I don't mind listening to music but I also like listening to the natural sounds. If he was with an acoustic guitar and I could get away from the sound if I chose, I would support him but not with an amp and mic. I do not want to be forced to listen if I don't want to.

Most days, if I am choosing to go and walk in the park, it is to get away from loud sounds and to enjoy the quiet of nature- sound of the waves, wind in the trees -

no matter how good his is - I do not want his choice of music and his volume level - forced on me.

I will be disappointed and annoyed if he is playing like that at the park when I come

Fact is, as I was across the street while this transpired
The closest park is several blocks away.

Glad they quashed the fine.

Wise said the noise violation was explained to Elliott multiple times but left out of the video.
"It was a bit of crafting of editing to a degree."

Wise wasn't there for starters so that's a pointless claim to be making to the media....

even IF the video was "crafted" I don't know how anyone could see the Officers attitude and think it is appropriate. The guy was being a d*ck at it was really obvious he was making it personal.

I saw attitude with the musician - I thought the bylaw officers just doing their job and didn't see the beginning of the interaction.

Face it Fancy .. You give law enforcement your blind faith support .

You just CAN'T accept that because they wear a badge , they can't be dicks......

It happens ... dickheads can be , and ARE , everywhere .

Not true at all considering I've had interactions with those types but the fact is the video didn't show bylaw doing anything more than their job. Repeating what a bystander said and poking fun at the bylaw officer didn't say much for the musician.

Agreed. I must be in the "no fun" camp.

I don't like buskers at the best of times.

I really don't like buskers who don't follow rules.

I don't like buskers who think they need an amp to play for people standing right in front of them.

And from what I saw on the video, the guy is a d-bag and I don't feel bad for him at all.
