Facts:

Hmmmm....

Bylaw gets a complaint

RCMP doesn't support that claim .

If you had complained about him doing this outside your house and he continued to do it, would you be upset if Bylaws didn't return the next day to make sure he hadn't stopped?

Yes I would .. to the point I actually complained to by law about an officer NOT doing his job... The very next day , the wife got a parking ticket for parking in a resident only street while displaying the proper resident parking pass. FROM THE SAME GUY I complained about .

G , some of these by law guys have an attitude ..

They do? Where is that mentioned?

You complain about Bylaws when the don't do their jobs and now you're complaining about them when they do? The main difference is you complain when it's happening outside your house. Funny that, huh?

Just because your wife had one bad experience that really has nothing to do with what happened here.

So did RCMP state that no complaint was made, or that they can't confirm there was one. My understanding is that Bylaw complaints go through a different dispatch system than RCMP. They aren't the same agency. So would RCMP even be aware of a bylaw complaint? Doubt it. Are they in a position to confirm that a complaint was made? nope.

I believe it was stated the RCMP didn't receive a complaint which is different.

This guy is one of a very select few if not the only busker that has any real talent in Kelowna that are being issued busker permits during the summer.
The break dancers were ok considering it is Kelowna not Granville island or the Vivtoria harbour by any means.
Oh and that bucket drummer is good also!

He will fight the ticket but the complainant may also have a point.

From what I heard on the video this guy is no more talented than a million other wanna be guitar players. If he was that talented, why is he busking?

Can you imagine the requisite for a ticket is if you have talent or not? LOL

So, I take it you would be OK with your neighbors playing Polka at full volume on their 5000 watt Peavey stacks?

5000 watts would be an awful lot for a house..
Dont know anyone. That has that..
First thing I would do is haul my Sasui BA 3000 and CA 3000 out, and give them some back..Zappa maybe..
Of course dont want to *bleep* the other neighbors off..

You'll clip those into a molten blob if you try to compete with a 5000w PA system.

He is good as far as guitarists and singers go on the streets of downtown Kelowna, once you spend a few summers out and about you will soon be able to recognize that.
There are some very talented buskers that probably earn more than you in a year out there.
What Kelowna really needs is "festivals Kelowna" to implement some sort of standards and consideration towards talent before handing out buskers permits to anyone who applies and pays.
