And put a leash on the little dogs in the backyard.

I'd rather see thieves that venture into our neighborhoods shot.
Coyotes don't bother me, or my dog.
Thieves on the other hand...

Coyotes have no problem gnawing on a dog on the leash in a yard.
I know of one that took a dog from a leash of an elderly lady walking the dog.
So depending how desperate they are, anything goes.

voice of reason wrote:rutland isnt in the country .i live in glenrosa. coyotes are part of the neighborhood.outdoor cats dont exist. im fine with rural areas catering to the wildlife.in the city not so much.rutland doesnt need a pack of coyotes roaming the streets

Have you been to Rutland lately?
It's small in size and borders wilderness a short distance from the core and for many kilometers.
You can walk from "the country" to a convenience store in under ten minutes.

I think a pack of Coyotes might just be EXACTLY what Rutland needs.
Call it neighborhood watch, gone wild.

I bet fewer idiots would let their cats out.
I bet fewer idiots would leave their dogs unattended.

maybe take proper care of your chickens. a well designed coop makes coyotes a non issue - you are killing them because they are smarter than you?

You haven't figured out how to keep coyotes from killing chickens?
We are the superior mammals, aren't we?
Maybe not all of us.
I am pretty sure if I had chickens, they'd be kept safe from coyotes.
I'm capable that way.
It comes in handy.

it's absolutely ridiculous that people can't live in harmony with nature on any level.
It's discouraging to think we can solve any of the bigger issues we are facing on this giant flying saucer, when we can't even figure out the easy stuff.

For :cuss: sakes people, stop being so cod ham stupid. If you don't feed the coyotes, they won't linger. They are hungry. We should all be able to relate to that basic need for sustenance. When we are hungry we go to where the food is to eat.

STOP FEEDING YOUR PETS AND GARBAGE TO THE ANIMALS.

it's that basic.
Figure it the :cuss: out.

Any idiot can kill what they fear.
That's obvious.

It takes a smarter person to figure out the very basic solution.
I'm betting Killer hasn't figured out how to wipe yet either.
Not so bright.
