How many beach volleyball courts are needed, maybe they can bring sand in to one of the parking lots, then clean it up after ?
they can set up on the grass if need be
Re: Centre of Gravity
It's a professional beach volleyball tournament with some of the best teams from all over the country coming... they can't just setup on the grass.
Not to mention COG already has a grass tournament they host. The beach will be fine by the time the event rolls around anyway.

Good idea. I know where there's lots of sand.

That's not in sandbags?

Yes. It is going ahead.

Re: Centre of Gravity
If organizers of CoG plan on bringing in sand, hopefully they don't bring in any of the contaminated (formerly use in sandbags) once dumped back into sandpit.
Of course it would be different reason for throwing up, instead of usual one of drinking a little to much.
Never mind all is good, have a blast

I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

Nice to see the crowds were well behaved and no major incidents were reported!

I'm just throwing this in here so all of the whiners can refer back to this thread next year and be reminded that this event isn't so bad after all.

I'm sure we'll get the usual complaints of throbbing bass, drunken rowdies, and people doing their business in my hydrangeas.
But it sounds like the event was a success. I'm sure the demise of festivals in Squamish and Pemberton has only made it easier for COG to be viable. My wife's young cousin stayed with us while in town for the event, and he had a great time.
