Don't bring a knife to a gunfight? Seriously, what do people *think* will happen if they approach an armed officer with a knife, and then ignore the multiple warnings and commands to drop said knife?
I'd like to change your mind, but I don't have a fresh diaper.

Countdown to the inevitable "why didn't they shoot the knife out of his hand" comment!
Or even better "why didn't they wrestle the knife out of his hand".

It won't be long.... :smt045

If someone pulls a knife on a cop, the likelihood he'd pull it on a civilian seems to me pretty high , or hold up a gas station?
Thankfully he didn't have a gun, not suggesting a knife is any less lethal.

Only a village idiot, someone stoned on drugs or alcohol or with a suicidal wish, approaches a police officer with a knife and fails to comply with demands to stop and drop the weapon. It's simple... they should expect to get shot and society should expect that to be the consequence as well.

Too bad. So sad.

Protect and support our officers going about their lawful business dealing with the detritus of society.

Haha..."pics or it didn't happen".

Maybe no one was shot at all. There's no visual proof and cops do lie.

Why do the police have to be so anal in their description. "The incident caused the member to point is firearm instrumentation thingy and therefore caused his finger to depress the trigger whereby it caused a suspect to be struck by a projectile, which by the way eminated from the firearm thingy...". Why not just say "we shot him"
I have learned that to be with those I like is enough.
