While Leslie awaits his 10 years or north does anybody know what has happened to girlfriend and fellow charged Rebekka Rae White ? Bail ? Await Sentencing ? Matter dropped ?

safe bet they made a deal with crown to get no time or little time so this killer g oo f goes to jail for a little while

Nothing personal but it's completely obvious that many on forums don't understand how legal processes work.

Just for example, scheduled trial can take upwards of 8-16 months to start. An appeal? Over 30. Average.

In the realm of criminal law this is the reality.
Why? Because politicians talk tough on crime but ham string and under fund the "courts". Then the populace gets frustrated and votes for tough on crime, with no money to pay for it. The cycle continues.

And yet another frustrated thread about the weak judges and the system.

There will always be criminals. It's how the voters decide to deal with them that imo is the problem. The victims get no justice... I wonder why.
