They don't officially call it a halfway house, but it is administered by the John Howard society.
But it's still a halfway house.

If you're driving on Harvey turn right onto Chandler Ave, first white duplex on the right is a halfway house...continue down you'll see another duplex style house, thats not a halfway house...the one next to that is.

Theres one on the corner of Bernard ave and Ethel as well.. Its a big brown house with 4 floors I believe

Perhaps the next little girl that gets kidnapped and raped by this fiend will be able to give a strong enough victims impact statement to have him put away for life.

I am pretty certain that's just a cheap rental unit filled with crackheads...but we can call it a halfway house cause I am sure those who live there have been in jail a few times.

It just makes me wonder why they would even bother with jails if the offenders don't even finish their deserved sentence. And sure, they prosecuted him based on the law and such but that just makes me angry about the law... The harm he did to those children is quite extensive. They say he is likely to re-offend especially since drugs influenced this behavior. He just needs to use again and he will attack someone else.
And yes, the media can get many things wrong but in this case it was fairly accurate. The halfway houses are called that for a reason- they are meant for people who have a likelihood of being rehabilitated. For example someone with ONE offense who was maybe young, or any sexual offense not involving rape or violence that only occurred once. Anyone else deserves to finish up their jail sentence.

It is frustrating for sure his crimes were absolutely heinous and IMO he should never walk the streets...my heart breaks for the victims and their families.

As I've said in other threads, Canadian Justice System caters to criminals and does not give a damn about the victims. The pain & suffering they go through, for many it's for rest of their lives.
