Groundwater issues in West Kelowna

Post by hockeyrulz »

We are having a HUGE groundwater issue on our property....started in beginning of June. Of course, we figured this to be normal given the flooding situation BUT the problem has been getting worse and worse. Our whole side yard has turned to sludge. I have called so many places and keep getting told "it's just groundwater and it will subside", only it has not improved at all. Anyone else experiencing an issue such as this? We are getting so frustrated. It is already in the lowest part of the yard, so trenching might be difficult....

Apparently you are not the only one , people in Kelowna up to 1 klm from the lake and or near existing streams are having the same issue. The lake is still at full pool and there will be concerns about winter with freezing pipes .
