Holy crap! Was driving up Harvey ave by Orchard Park and saw this just about 10:15 pm. Looked like something out of a sci fi movie and totally made me wonder. Glad I wasn't the only one who saw that!!

Of course, the Americans, not wanting to be outdone, are claiming it landed near Bonner's Ferry, ID.

Saw this huge fireball out my window in lake country. Went over beaver lake side. Castanet says it hit the ground in Nelson with a big boom. Hope there isnt another fire

"B.C.'s chief fire information officer, Kevin Skrepnek, took to Twitter after spotting the object in the sky.

“Well, that was different: while sitting on a patio in #NelsonBC the entire sky lit up and a meteorite came down. Huge boom about 1m later,” he said.

He added: "if we get an alien-caused fire, I am officially done.""

The best video I've seen of last night's flash is the security cam vid shot at Bridge Lake. With so many reports from so many places, Williams Lake to Spokane, I wonder if it was something big that broke up and came down in several places.

The comments under the Bridge Lake video suggest it may be related to the Telecom-1 satellite breaking up.

I'm fairly certain that video contains footage from two entirely different things.

1. A meteor
2. A drone being flown around.

Most of these videos were from Sept 4th, however there is another thread from a member who viewed a bright blue light during the night of Aug 31st/Sept 1st.... something is definitely going on.

(The thread with the bright blue light is in conspiracy and weird science)

Also, one of the YouTube videos in this thread has some type of craft flying above the object of light, as though it dropped the object of light.

I saw it from Highway 6 just west of Lumby.
It was high in the sky and did not leave a trail to ground. It burned up high and fizzled into nothing long before hitting ground.
From my vantage point, I was able to see it from start to end, and the entire show was put on up high.
I was driving, so unable to hear the sonic boom.
The reports of a boom sound indicate to me that a meteorite indeed entered out atmosphere. Since it burned out long before reaching ground, I doubt the meteorite actually made contact.

It'll be interesting to read further reports, to see if it did indeed leave a dent somewhere.

I have to admit: When I first saw it, I immediately thought, "Uh-oh. I hope Seattle didn't just get a slap-chop from Ding-Dang-Dong in Nerf Korea".

More than 170 people from north of Whitecourt, Alberta to south of Butte, Montana have reported what they saw or heard last night to this site

Includes link to impressive video from just west of Pincher Creek.

It will be interesting to know what it was, if they ever find out.
