Castanet radio
Re: Castanet radio
I too notice a lack of depth, I mean, plumb some lessor played songs but please don't play "Patio Lanterns" til we all puke.

Re: Castanet radio
I heard a Journey song that I haven't heard since yesterday.
If they wanna play some oldies, they should play some Burl Ives or some Wilf Carter.
Be cause for a hootenanny.

Re: Castanet radio
Or have a 12 am til 2 am "castanet posters in the mud" session pitting liberals with conservatives over land rights, environmentalism, Site C, the NDP vs Liberals and other juicy hot thread topics.
Should be fun.

Re: Castanet radio
If I thought there was a chance of hearing the Lawrence Welk Orchestra or some good Pig and Whistle ditties I would probably get right back on the band wagon.

I enjoy it, but would really appreciate more of the oldies that defined the era.
Hahaha. It didn't take you long to change your tune did it?

I was kinda hoping that they would change theirs! :)

Re: Castanet radio
I thought that Castanet Radio, aka Beach Radio, was going to be something of a news and talk station. I knew that the oldies format was part of the mix but so far when I've tuned to the station I've only heard music. Thus far I haven't been sufficiently impressed enough to move away from listening to AM1150 and CBC in the morning.

Re: Castanet radio
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas was on TV the other night. Too early already. Christmas music on the radio, too early.
Stay safe and watch out for the other guy.

Re: Castanet radio
One radio station in kelowna should play nothing but christmas music so they can keep it off the others.

What a brilliant idea! Though Trip would be dragging out her old Porter Wagoner stuff I think.
