Had a listen today. It's music from the 60's , 70's and 80's that you might have listened to...

If you were my Grandmother. I guess that's why it's called Oldies.

Maybe Castanet Radio will step it up a notch otherwise I see it getting really old really quick. Hope not though, I'd like it to be successful.

I guess you didn't understand 60's , 70's and 80's - and I ain't your grandmother.
I listened to it for an hour today - plays the music as advertised and I loved it.
Once they have been on air for a while and have more advertisers? Maybe I'll go back to CBC.
But for now? I'm impressed!

like every other station, i'm sure they will have their limited playlist, and we will have to endure the same tunes... over and over...

Well, after listening to 103.1 for a day I've realized that it's just another rehash of 96.3. I hoped I would never have to listen to Nick Gilder sing "Roxy Roller" ever again but no such luck. Really, did anyone even listen to Nick Gilder in 1978? Plus, I don't need to hear Fleetwood Mack 2000 times a day. Yup, radio continues to suck in the Okanagan.

Not at all surprised, I will stick with my current lineup for music.

Mr. Gilder was booed off the stage by 50,000 people at Empire Stadium in 1978. He didn't last 3 minutes up there. Now, program directors seem to think his music is gold.

It amazes me that with all the available ways to get the entertainment you like without Tony Peyton screaming "Andreas" every 3 minutes people still listen to the dribble on the local stations? ITs all advertising, old guys talking about sports who know very little and crappy advertising that is 20 years old. Look into podcasts, free music streaming, or even paid subscriptions, so much better than anything on the am/fm dial!

Make sure the sound isn't muted. :) Lower right corner, if there is a line through the speaker then it is muted. Just click on it and you should hear it just fine.
