That is a good idea; wifi hi-def cameras recording the parking lots; only application that I can see is necessary up there. I have ridden extensively on all parts of the KVR and before any wifi spots along the trail are ever established (other than cams) they should seriously improve the condition of many parts of the rail bed. Going from Chute Lake N/E towards the Myra is a mess of hard packed/pot hole covered areas; they could take a lesson from whoever groomed the trail North of Penticton to the little tunnel; its amazingly nice.

I would bet that those pushing for any wifi for sending pics or searching maps online don't even have much experience on the trail itself. The tourists that I have met along the way (many, to be sure) have never commented about poor internet; they are there for the scenery and to "get away from it all"; the last thing that MOST of them want is to be looking at their stupid phones.

If they did have Wi-Fi up there, they could have cameras to capture all the pedestrian accidents, fire rescues, and helicopter evacuations.

What a great boost to tourism this could create ? ! ? $

If they are going to spend money on improving the KVR experience, here's what they should do, in order of importance:

1) Improve the access roads at either end of the Myra section
2) Improve the access roads at either end of the Myra section
3) Security at the parking lots
4) Improve the trail surface itself (this is more for stretches outside of Myra)
5) other things that don't include wifi
6) Things I forgot above
7) wifi

9) use some of that money to install wifi/cams where they'll actually payoff - along some of the forestry roads up that way in order to catch illegal dumpers.

...if theyre going to spend money in that way then, besides parking lot security, spend some cash in helping to preserve the area.
