The snow I wanted to get today didn't materialize. :-X
Don't take my silence to mean I've agreed with you; I easily could've just lost interest in explaining how wrong you are.

Heavy snowfall on highways
A snowfall warning is in effect for the Coquihalla and Highway 3 today.

Environment Canada expects 20 to 30 centimetres to fall on the Coquihalla from Hope to Merritt and on Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass.

Up to 50 centimetres of snow could possibly fall by the end of tonight, according to Environment Canada, along with a high risk of freezing rain.

It's best to avoid travel along these routes on Sunday because of poor visibility and extreme weather conditions.

Warnings
10:37 AM PST Sunday 28 January 2018
Snowfall warning in effect for:

Central Okanagan - including Kelowna
North Okanagan - including Vernon
A long period of snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected.

Heavy snow beginning this morning.

A Pacific frontal system is moving across the BC interior today producing heavy snowfall over the Columbias, north and central Okanagan and Shuswap. As the front stalls tonight, heavy snow will continue over the Columbias and Shuswap while lesser accumulations can be expected over the Okanagan.

Total snowfall amount of 10 to 20 cm is expected over north and central Okanagan by the end of tonight.

For the Columbias and Shuswap region, 15 to 30 cm of snow can be expected by Monday.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
