'Smoky' skies?

'Smoky' skies?

Why does it look so smoky recently every time we have a sunny day?
Any explanations welcome (except for the contrail conspiracy).

Today is a free burn day. They just have to stay within the requirements. It happens every year at this time.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
