Local celebrity

Found out we have a local celebrity, turns out this man was in a band with david hasselhoff, now currently paints/sells high end paintings, his name is Danny Mcbride. Awesome!!! I am sure many other celebrities have houses/live here in the Okanagan.

Toured with Chris de Burgh for many years.

Danny's a really nice guy based on first impressions when I met him a couple years ago.

Danny has called Kelowna home for a number of years. I never hear his name much anymore, and I'd actually forgotten about him.

Kelowna has produced a few film/TV actors who have had some success. It seems like about half the players in the NHL own property here. No wonder, they're the only ones who can afford it.

There's a whole load of "poor me" in that statement.

Many people live here. Many are not NHL stars or multimillionaires. But they seem to get by ok.

Actually, there isn't. It was just a flippant remark about Kelowna being a playground for the wealthy.

I live here, and manage to afford a modest home.

But I would daresay, there aren't many people who own property here, but don't live here fulltime (such as the NHL players mentioned), that wouldn't be considered "wealthy". There may be some "lucky them" in that statement, but no "poor me". I don't spend much time thinking about it.
