Awwwhhh Poor guy is having nightmares now... I bet his victims are too. I wonder if that door was "accidentally" left open or if there was some intent. Years ago in a prison near Edmonton, guards accidentally ;-) left open a door and a convicted child rapist ended up getting what he had coming.

Glad it was Provincial Facility, if it was Federal time Trudeau would pay him big dollars because this shouldn't happen to a inmate in our custody and care. Du,uhm,duh ,well, dat...you know.

I don't understand why they keep putting child molesters in Protective Custody? Prison guards are there for a reason not to play babysitter for some convicted child predator!!! Throw him in general population and let the rest of the prisoners take care of him.

I would like to thank the selfless inmate who did the rite thing. At great risk to himself.

If he was so adamant about being in protective custody he could have easily made sure the guard didn't forget to lock the door.

Even within the prison population there are crimes that they will not be tolerated, crimes against children are one of them.
Well at least something within the criminal justice system appears to have justice for its victims.
