Downtown Kelowna Is Dark

I can't be the only one who thinks downtown Kelowna at night time is far too dark for driving, also every pedestrian cross walk in downtown Kelowna should have light active flashing amber lights when crossing. The area from prospera down to cactus club needs better street lighting, what do you think?

Agree. Especially with how many people tend to run across the road just because they don't want to go to a pedestrian crossing.

Good idea.

It doesn't help that majority of pedestrians wear dark clothing with absolutely nothing reflective.
Not all but some cyclists do the same thing, not even reflectors on the bikes.

I walk between my home & prospera for Rockets game, I have no problem seeing or being seen (since I wear reflective clothing).

I have noticed the new lighting at Harvey & Ethel as brighten that intersection considerable, should be done at every intersection at least along Harvey/Hwy 97.

I have been driving up to Kelowna every Friday evening for the past couple months . I usually take Pandosy down to Cook then over to the H20 complex area. I find Pandosy to be hellish driving in the dark. A couple times I didn't even see pedestrians step off the sidewalk to cross, yet alone the cross walk. Agreed something needs to be done.

Sounds like some need to remember to clean their headlights after driving in snow and slush

Isn't the City eventually switching all the streetlights over to LED's?

The upgraded areas around Harvey and Leathead, and Harvey and Ethel have these and they're super nice.
