I can take Kelowna or leave it ....
It's not my paradise , but I've carved out a name here and made a living from it ..
But I'd be happier somewhere else though

The smoke the past few years feels like a deal breaker for me... I'm ok living here but would be just as ok ( for numerous reasons) back in Edmonton.
If there was a Loser contest you'd come in second

Same as many, I used to like Kelowna and I moved in 2012 which was a great decision overall. Every visit back Im glad I dontlipe there anymore, I'm just stuck coming back because I have family and some really good friends there. And theres more than one of my friends that would like to vacate Kelownafornia as we speak, but kids and wives have a say also.
Sure do love Rutland!!

Many people want to move due to their homebase, not being as pleasant as it once was..
Now the big problem is. ........
A lot of these people chose to move here, then campaign to introduce some of what they miss from their former town..
And that in a nutshell, is what happened to Kelowna..

Yes it is, I remember riding my bike down the gravel portion of what connected Paret Rd to KLO and that bridge was brand spankin new......that became Gordon obviously. We lived on Welke Rd and it was an awesome area bak in the 80s and so was Mission Hills
Sure do love Rutland!!

You mean like the ocean I miss so much ?? I take that in stride ..
Sometimes , the lake smells just like the ocean ..
Is that a good thing >

Apart from the ridiculous housing costs , terrible wages and horrible traffic problems , it's great !

If you are not happy where ever you are then maybe a good look at "is it the place of is it you"?
You need to decide which of those it is and then see if you can make it better by either changing yourself or moving to a place more suitable to you.

Nope that is why I am moving this Saturday. We just sold our home and are moving out of kelowna. We like what kelowna has to offer store wise and won't be moving fare at all. Just dont want to be directly in kelowna.

It sure is. Smaller community everyone is friendly and I'm only 5 minutes to the bush. We are excited for the new beginning but will miss some people as well. Luckily we went be far and will come into town to visit our friends and old neighbors when we can.
