Looks like it could be reopening:
West Kelowna's Crystal Mountain to reopen this winter under new name, new management

KELOWNA - After two years of trying to salvage what’s left of the old Crystal Mountain ski resort, Don Journeay is planning to re-open the hill on a limited basis this winter.

Because it's against this forums rules to post links to other local news sites.

It’s a start.

[Don Journeay] He will open it as a snowboard park under the name Bull Mountain Adventure Park. His initial plans call for opening the T-bar and training lifts, having a terrain park and a skating rink, plus more this winter.

I would also like to see them open on a limited basis to the mountain bike downhillers, possibly as a beginner track.

There seems to be exceptions where this rule is overlooked. When Castanet isn't running the story.
I don't do it often but have posted the odd outside news story without getting my wrist slapped.

I wonder why Castanet hasn't reported on this? It's pretty major news for the valley.

Don Jouneay was on CBC this morning. This Thursday at 1:00 pm he’s inviting contractors to the mountain for input. The District of West Kelowna will be there also.
This was a great family facility, I hope it will be again.
