Cars Vandalized In Penticton

Postby rotti » Mar 22nd, 2008, 8:47 pm

So here we go again, police telling us we need to keep on eye on our cars because some little pukes are out there with nothing better to do than damage vehicles. What more are people supposed to do? The second paragraph in the story says that most of the vehicles where in underground locked parking garages. Are we supposed to hire a 24 hour guard to watch our stuff?

Maybe instead of putting the blame on the owner we should try to catch the little pukes and tune them up. Obviously the parents don't care, the courts don't care but I sure as heck care when I go to ICBC and they tell me I have to pay a deductible to get the damage fixed. It is time we take care of the problem ourselves instead of letting other people take care of something they don't care about. Lets catch the little pukes and first scare them to an inch of there life, put their picture and name in the paper so all can see who these little no brains are and then make them pay double for all the damage. No excuses for bad upbringing or no father and excuses like that. I had a crappy child hood too but I don't damage other peoples stuff! :purefury:

You're right, there is no excuse for what they are doing.
When the rush of trashing cars fades where will they get their fix next? I'm guessing not in a good book.

I can sympathize with you on that. I get excited when I get a "door ding" in the parking lots after trying to be careful not to ding anyone elses car. Unfortunately vandalism seems to be way down the list of punishable crimes. There doesnt seem to be any consequence for their actions ! :127:

You know what really hurts is when on Friday you get your truck vandalized and on Saturday you go to the dump and the cops are giving out $200.00 tickets for anyone who has not tarped your load. Who is the criminal we are going after? .............. :nutzoid: The one who can pay!

Someday the same vandals will be wondering why the insurance rates on their vehicles are so high. Sigh....

You know, I think it IS time that the 'people' take matters into their own hands and deal with such punks, that obviously don't give a shred of thought that they will get caught. These punks don't know what the word, 'consequence' means, and thus, should be "SHOWN" by physical force, what it means to be held accountable for their actions!! :ohmygod:

We, as people, need to take this community back! We need to enforce a more effective law, out there, that is carried out by the people, for the people, and hold the criminals accountable for their actions. If the youth are the ones to blame, then the parents will be held accountable, along side their child(ren), just as well as if the criminal is someone under the care of the Ministry (Foster care), then the Ministry should be held responsible, just as much as the caregiver, AND the individual who done the damage!! :purefury:

Where justice needs to be served, there needs to be role models in place, to effectively carry out the word of being 'responsible members of society'!! These so-called 'punks' need to be disciplined and shown, by force, what their actions have done to this city. They need to be shown, how it impacts their 'victims'. They need to HEAR what the victims have to say.

Restorative Justice.... Sentencing Circles..... :spinball:

Let's get more people involved in this scenario, so we all can benefit from the rewards of where education in 'responsibility' is concerned. :200:

But first...let's catch these punks, red-handed, and inflict a bit of torture on their sorry-asses, and make sure they don't forget WHY they are being tortured!! MUuahh haa haaaaaa!!!....Discipline, people....it's all about discipline, and taking matters into our own hands!!

MUUuahh haaaaa haaaaa haaaaaaaaaa :dyinglaughing:

I catch one of those little SOBs doing my vehicle,I'll be sure to get my deductible out of their hides,
we've also had a rash of burnt fences & garbage cans in the area...

I think the solution is really simple, and i am borrowing a page from how other countries do it. Once the little bastards are caught just give them 6 lashing with a cane. After just one dose of that medicine i think that the little turds wont do it again. For added satisfaction the parents should receive the same as there children. (they have to learn at some point to teach there children to be responsible) ;)

Well actually, seeing as how nothing else is really working, Taking matters into our own hands would be a great idea!

Sign me up, I'm in!
What's it going to be called? Restorative Justice 101?

Good Idea Argamedeus, now, start a website for members to sign up!

Heck, I even know some old men in their 70's who want to cleanup Rutland!
They want to do it the old school way!
